Clotrimazole 1%


Clotrimazole is used in the treatment of various skin conditions such as ringworm and other susceptible fungal infections.

Clotrimazole cream is a non-prescription (OTC) medication.

The usual dose is to apply a thin layer to the affected area twice a day for 14 days. If there is no response after 14 days, contact a veterinarian. Wash hands thoroughly after applying to prevent the spread of infection.

Side effects of clotrimazole may include redness and swelling, stinging, blistering, peeling, itching, hives and general skin irritation.

Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. Do not use for more than 14 consecutive days.

Store this product at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
