Neomycin and thimerosal are used as preservatives.
Indications: ELITE 4™ vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of healthy, susceptible dairy and beef cattle of all ages including pregnant cattle and veal calves against diseases caused by bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, bovine virus diarrhea (BVD) virus, parainfluenza3 (PI3) virus and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).
Dosage and Administration: Using aseptic technique, inject 5 mL intramuscularly. Repeat in 14-28 days. Calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated at 6 months of age or weaning. Ideally calves should receive the first dose 2-4 weeks before weaning with a booster dose at weaning. A 5 mL booster dose is recommended annually or prior to time of stress or exposure.
Precaution(s): Store out of direct sunlight. Store at 35-45°F (2-7°C). Do not freeze. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened.
Caution(s): ELITE 4™ has been shown to be safe and efficacious when used according to label directions.
Anaphylactoid reactions may occur.
Antidote(s): Administer epinephrine.
Warning(s): Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
Toxicology: Safety and Efficacy: The efficacy of ELITE 4™ has been demonstrated for each fraction. Pregnant cattle may be vaccinated at any stage of gestation, and lactating dairy cattle may be vaccinated with no post-vaccination milk discard required.
