Mycoplasma Bovis Bacterin
Indications: Recommended for the vaccination of healthy, susceptible cattle 45 days of age or older as an aid in the prevention of respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma bovis.
Composition: Contains antigens from two field isolates of M. bovis and their soluble antigens.
Dosage: Using aseptic technique, inject 2 mL subcutaneously in front of the shoulder and midway of the neck, away from the suprascapular lymph node. Repeat in 14 to 28 days. Revaccinate as recommended by your veterinarian.
Precautions: Store between 35-45°F (2-7°C). Do not freeze. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter. Anaphylactoid reactions can occur. Epinephrine should be on hand in case of anaphylaxis. Hypersensitivity reactions, including delayed hypersensitivity or death, may occur with a biological product and can cause reduced milk production in lactating dairy cattle. Persistent swelling and/or a large area of edema may occur at the injection site in a significant number of vaccinated animals.
Antidote: Epinephrine.
Efficacy of this product was demonstrated 2 weeks after the 2nd vaccination. Duration of immunity is unknown.
