For subcutaneous vaccination of healthy dogs, 8 weeks of age or older, as an aid in the prevention of disease and shedding caused by Giardia lamblia infections.

Giardiasis is a health concern for people and dogs. While Giardia infection is a recognized zoonotic disease, the role that the dog assumes in human disease is not well established. GiardiaVax� has been proven to prevent clinical disease caused by Giardia lamblia infection in dogs and to significantly reduce the incidence, severity and duration of cyst shedding. Subsequent to Giardia lamblia exposure, some vaccinates may shed, therefore, proper hygiene and sanitation practices should be implemented.

Contents: This product contains the antigen listed above.Thimerosal and gentamicin added as preservatives. Indications: For vaccination of healthy dogs, 8 weeks of age or older, as an aid in the prevention of disease and shedding caused by Giardia lamblia infections. Dosage and Administration: Dogs, inject one 1 mL dose subcutaneously using aseptic technique. A second dose is given two to four weeks after first vaccination. Annual revaccination is recommended. For vaccines requiring reconstitution, remove label from both vials and affix both labels to the animal's medical chart. Precaution(s): Store in the dark at 2� to 7�C (35� to 45�F). Avoid freezing. Shake well. Use entire contents when first opened. Caution(s): In the absence of a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, Federal law prohibits the relabeling, repackaging, resale, or redistribution of the individual contents of this package. (9CFR112.6) In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. Warning(s): For use in dogs only. Presentation: 25 doses (25 x 1 mL vials of vaccine).
