Antigen: E. coli (killed)
Cows, Heifers, Calves
Dosage: 2 mL (IM or SC)
INDICATIONS: For the vaccination of healthy cattle (cows, heifers) as an aid in prevention of mastitis due to E. coli and the effects of endotoxemia caused by E. coli and Salmonella typhimurium.
DOSAGE: Shake well before using. As
an aid in the prevention of mastitis, inject 2 ml (1 dose)
intramuscularly or subcutaneously at 7 months of gestation or at dry
off; revaccinate at 1 to 3 weeks before calving. Revaccinate annually as
above.
As an aid in the prevention of the effects of
endotoxemia, whole herd vaccination may be done at any time. Vaccinate
with 2 ml (1 dose) followed by a second 2 ml dose 2 to 4 weeks later.
Revaccinate annually as above.
Calves vaccinated under 6 months of age should be revaccinated after reaching 6 months of age.
PRECAUTIONS: Store at 2-7°C
(35-45°F). Do not freeze. Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight. Use
entire contents when first opened. Do not use chemicals to sterilize
syringes and needles. Do not vaccinate within 21 days prior to
slaughter. Contains gentamicin and nystatin as preservatives. In rare
instances, administration of vaccines may cause lethargy, fever and
inflammatory or hypersensitivity types of reactions. Treatment may
include antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine.
